The “Green House” was the
first home opened after the owner, Cindy Sipes, RN, had provided Adult Homecare in
her own home for three years. She found it when she wasn’t
looking for it, but knew it was perfect. She started the
home in September of 1995. It was updated again in 2004 with
all new carpeting and amenities. The views of Mount Rainier, Mount
Baker, and the Cascades did not need updating.
The home has four bedrooms
each with all new furnishings, window treatments and carpet. A large living room provides a space for private family
time. However, the family room is place for spending time
with everyone. Comfortable seating for the clients is
arranged to promote interaction.
The backyard is spectacular in
the Spring with many Rhododendrons and Azaleas. The large
deck with flowers ringing the space is a wonderful place to
enjoy the sunshine and take in the territorial view which
includes Mount Baker. A large patio umbrella keeps the shade
available for those that prefer it.
Jerri, the primary caregiver,
came to Sipes Adult Homecare from the elderly home of one of
Cindy’s friends. When that home’s owner retired, Cindy knew
that Jerri was special. Her caring and the ability to create
a bond with each person is quickly apparent. The gentle gray
miniature schnauzer, Sky, adds the calming touch and of
course the center of attention.
